Devin Pruden is a professional drummer born and raised in Los Angeles.
Known for his wide-reaching musical background. He is a true genre chameleon. His sound is a blend of multiple styles, including, Pop, Funk, R&B, Jazz, Gospel, Country, and Rock. This allows him to tap into his versatile approach and seamlessly move from one to the next as needed. A disciple of groove, he excels in honoring his role and serving the music. Devin’s balanced, and composed demeanor, behind the drums, creates a very powerful and supportive foundation.
Devin has performed at many festivals like Cal World Fest, SXSW, San Jose Jazz festival (where he opened for Sly & The Family Stone) in 2019 & 2021, and NAMM in ’22, ‘25 & ‘26. Additional highlights include the WACO Gala (2022) where he performed with Andra Day & Chloe x Halie. The HIM Awards with KIA (2024), PBS’s annual Christmas Celebration (2024), The G’day USA Art Gala (2025 & 2026), The August Wilson New Voices (’24/’25/’26), FIFA Fan Fest for LA World Cup (2026).
Some performance credits include South Side Symphony, Bootleg Orchestra, Niki J. Crawford, The Urban Renewal Project, Tayler Holder, KIA, Mackenzie Sol, VST & Company, The Urban Renewal Project, Hannah Mrozak, Boy Soda, The LA Kings, and more.
Devin has also recorded for a number of outstanding projects. Devin has recorded on the soundtrack for the Apple TV series “Lady in the Lake” and the movie “Once Again (for the Very First Time)” while collaborating with the South Side Symphony.
He found his musical beginnings through his involvement in the drum line in high school. He was mentored by his band director to start playing drum set as a senior at the age of 17. In 2017, Devin graduated with honors from California State University, Dominguez Hills, with a BA in Music Performance.
